(1) Why use Xero-Fax’s fuel reporting service? Can’t I do this myself?
Sure you can. We’re sure though that you are familiar with the hassle and many hours of time that go into preparing these returns every month. Software that helps you with the process ranges anywhere from several hundred to even thousands of dollars. With our service, we do the dirty work for you and help you save precious time and money.
(2) What reports will I receive with my quarterly preparation?
We will automatically prepare your IFTA return, any state mile tax forms, a unit summary, and a copy of an audit detail report. We can prepare other reports for you upon request, at no additional charge. Please see our list of reports available here
(3) Instead of sending you copies of my fuel receipts, can I have my fleet card company send you the data?
YES! We can accept data files from most fuel card companies, including Comdata, EFS, T-Check, FleetOne, TCH, and several others. Please call us for details on how this works.
(4) I received a notice for an audit. Will Xero-Fax assist me with this?
While we are currently working a strategy to assist customers with an audit, at this time we do not have such a service in place. We will, however, provide audit detail reports upon request, and assist you with this information.
Xero-Fax’s method for preparing you returns include checks for several “audit triggers,” insuring that the data you supply conforms to the standards of the industry. Any audit you receive while using our services is most likely a random audit.
